The world can be defined

In the grossest terms

How the planets are aligned

And the resistance of germs

But to further specify

How all things impact us

You’ve got to clarify

How they even affect the cactus

*

Things will give at the seams

If you only live a life of dreams

*

What’s goes on in one’s head

Is generally a guess

But to view the lives we’ve led

It’s mostly a mess

*

The hour is late

The moon is on high

The guards at the gate

Cannot protect who will die

When morning comes

We will see who remains

Then roll the drums

And wash the stains

*

The hour is late

The moon on high

The guards at the gate

Cannot say who will die

When morning comes

We will see who remains

Then roll the drums

And wash the stains

*

There’s nothing nice

When living with mice

That little rodent pays neither board nor rent

And not to quibble but about how much they nibble

For nothing’s faster at seduction

Than a mouse who’s mastered reproduction

mystical

some are statistical

bound to the logistical

I may be egotistical

but I follow the mystical

don’t smoke

it’s not just a rumour

that in every pack

there’s a malignant tumour

and heart attack

help your doctor

help your doctor cure your ills

bring the bottles with the pills

seal them tight there’ll be no spills

do it right you’ll get refills

MOHEL

we employ a mohel

for a boy not a goil
